A Safe Place for Healing
Creating an atmosphere of confidentiality, compassion, trust, honesty, and freedom from judgment.
The journey
Healing is not about pretending the past didn't happen. It is about honestly bringing wounded places into the light and learning what Jesus can restore.
Eight areas of the journey
The journey includes teaching, workbook exercises, reflection, prayer, journaling, review questions, and small-group ministry.
Creating an atmosphere of confidentiality, compassion, trust, honesty, and freedom from judgment.
Understanding how pain can cause us to protect ourselves, become emotionally hardened, disconnect, or stop trusting.
Understanding God-given needs such as love, belonging, security, affirmation, respect, acceptance, comfort, and connection.
Recognizing where important needs were not met and how that pain can continue to affect thoughts, emotions, relationships, and behaviour.
Learning to acknowledge and grieve what was lost rather than burying, minimizing, or continually carrying it.
Understanding what forgiveness is and is not, addressing misconceptions, and walking toward freedom without dismissing the seriousness of what happened.
Recognizing wounds and beliefs created through rejection and receiving truth, acceptance, identity, and restoration.
Understanding how trust was broken and how healthy trust—with God, ourselves, and safe people—can gradually be rebuilt.
How we participate
The healing process invites personal honesty and participation. What you receive from the journey is connected to your willingness to engage honestly with it.
The atmosphere is confidential and compassionate. You are given space to reflect, ask questions, pray, learn, and take the next step at a pace that respects the seriousness of your story.
